Damaged lithium battery-powered vehicles can ignite long after an accident, and can re-ignite weeks after being extinguished. How It Works
Independent Burn Test

This test was designed to evaluate the integrity of the Firebox™ containment unit during an EV fire. The car inside was deliberately allowed to burn to maximum intensity before water extinguished the flames. At the end of the test, the Firebox™ remained undamaged, as shown in the video below.
